Privacy policy
This page says what we collect, why we keep it, and who else sees it. It applies to guests, owners, visitors, and anyone using the in-stay concierge.
What we collect
- Account details you give us: name, email, phone, address, language, currency. Owners may also add business details.
- Bookings and orders: dates, rooms, extras, amounts paid.
- Messages you send the concierge, so it can help during the stay.
- Technical basics: IP address, browser, and a few keys stored on your device so a stay can reopen.
Why we use it
To run your account, complete a booking, pay the host, keep the stay session open, and keep the service safe. We do not sell your data. We do not run ad trackers.
How long we keep it
- Account records: while the account is open, then about two years after it is closed.
- Payment records: up to seven years, because the law asks us to.
- Stay session on your phone: until checkout, or until you clear the app data.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make Nor Hub work:
- Supabase, for accounts and the database.
- Stripe, for cards and owner payouts. Card numbers stay with Stripe, not with us.
- Google Gemini, for concierge replies. Your prompt is sent so the assistant can answer.
Some of that processing happens on servers outside Ethiopia. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and we keep guest and owner records separated in the database.
What stays on your device
- A login token, so you stay signed in.
nor_active_session, so the stay app can open the right house.nor_cookie_consent, so we remember this choice.
Those are needed for the product to work. We do not use them to advertise.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Write to us at the address below. The service is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this page changes, we will update the date at the top. Using Nor Hub after that means you have seen the new version.
